  1. Install MetaMask Chrome Extension
  2. Connect your Ledger device to your computer via USB
  3. Unlock your Ledger device (enter PIN)
  4. Open the Ethereum app on your Ledger
  5. In MetaMask, click your profile icon → Settings
  6. Go to Advanced → scroll to Preferred Ledger Connection Type
  7. Select "WebHID" (for Chrome) or "U2F" (for older browsers)
  8. Click your profile icon again → Connect Hardware Wallet
  9. Select "Ledger" and click Continue
  10. Select the account you want to use
  11. Click "Connect via MetaMask" button above
Tip: Your Ledger will need to be unlocked and have the Ethereum app open each time you sign a transaction

  7. Your Ledger will show "Provide public key" - press both buttons to confirm
Note: Safari and Firefox don't support WebHID. Use Chrome, Edge, or Brave instead.
